Check back for news about next year’s program.

Summer camps geared for children with diabetes offer a wide range of fun, summer-time activities, while also providing kids with an opportunity to make friends with other children who are living with diabetes and to learn more about how to best manage their disease. Parents can also feel confident that the staff is prepared to deal with all of the medical and nutritional needs associated with diabetes.

Better Living Now, a national managed care provider of products, medications and services for chronic illnesses, has teamed up again this year with the Long Island Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) to send three lucky kids to a diabetes-friendly summer camp. The winners will receive a full scholarship for one week at any ADA-approved camp. A list of approved camps can be found at www.diabetes.org/communityprograms-and-localevents/diabetescamps.jsp

About
Better Living Now is a national service provider of health care products and services, specializing in the needs of people with diabetes and other chronic conditions.

At Better Living Now, it is our philosophy to not only help maintain, but help improve the health of individuals nationwide. One of the ways we achieve this goal is by offering prompt home delivery of supplies, medical equipment and pharmaceuticals, at prices significantly below retail. Through company initiatives such as our Chronic Care Compliance Program, we are able to help improve compliance with prescribed health regimens by serving as a reminder system for those suffering from diabetes, asthma, respiratory diseases and other conditions requiring continual care and maintenance. By supporting our contracted Managed Care Organizations’ disease management efforts, we are reducing hospitalizations and improving patient outcomes.

BLN carries a full catalog of products and services from most major manufacturers, including diabetes supplies, respiratory care, oxygen therapy, scooters and wheelchairs, and mastectomy products, among others. All insurance claims and paperwork are managed by BLN and members are only required to submit co-payments, if necessary. BLN participates in Medicare and most managed health care plans. Orders may be placed on the company’s safe, secure, easily navigated Web site: www.betterlivingnow.com
